Not many car owners are diligent about its existence. Although it often inhabits a room that is rarely touched, it does not mean that you can underestimate the spare tire.

Apparently, the spare tire is not recommended to stay idle. Moreover, if the car tire has never experienced problems on the road, then it doesn't need a spare tire. Owners must understand this.

There is a trick to get to know the spare tire better. The goal is to avoid panic and confusion when needed.

First, learn the location of the spare tire. Different types of cars have different locations. 

For some sedan and MPV cars, the spare tire is generally placed under the trunk deck. Just open the cover to take it easily.

There are also those that are placed underneath, such as those found in SUVs. If it is often ignored, sometimes its condition looks alarming. It is left dirty with dust, water, mud and soil. It's still lucky if it's washed, but usually it's just left dirty.

Lastly, there is also a spare tire hanging on the trunk door or often called 'konde' as in the old Toyota Rush model. However, nowadays it is rare for new cars to put the spare tire in this position.

Tidak banyak pemilik mobil yang rajin menengok keberadaannya. Meski kerap menghuni ruangan yang jarang dijamah, bukan berarti bisa menyepelekan ban serep.

Ternyata, ban serep mobil tak direkomendasikan untuk diam saja. Terlebih kalau ban mobil tak pernah mengalami kendala di jalan, maka semakin tak membutuhkan ban serep. Pemilik wajib paham soal hal ini.

Ada jurus jitu supaya lebih mengenal ban serep mobil. Tujuannya agar ketika diperlukan tidak panik dan kebingungan.

Pertama, pelajari tempat ban serep. Beda jenis mobil, beda juga lokasinya. 

Beberapa mobil jenis sedan dan MPV, umumnya ban serep diletakkan di bawah dek bagasi mobil. Tinggal buka penutupnya saja untuk mengambilnya dengan mudah.

Ada juga yang diletakkan di kolong, seperti yang terdapat pada mobil berjenis SUV. Kalau kerap diacuhkan, terkadang kondisinya terlihat memprihatinkan. Dibiarkan kotor terkena debu, air, lumpur sampai tanah. Masih beruntung kalau ikut dicuci, biasanya dibiarkan saja kotor.

Terakhir, ada pula ban serep menggantung di pintu bagasi atau sering disebut 'konde' seperti pada Toyota Rush model lama. Namun saat ini sudah jarang mobil baru yang menaruh ban serepnya dalam posisi ini.
