After a long trip, the car certainly experienced a heavier load than usual. Moreover, the increased kilometers will certainly wear out some components.

So, Accelera has several checklists that are worth doing after the car is used for long trips.

1. Oil

First of all, check the condition of the engine oil, mainly because the engine worked hard during the trip. Make sure the amount of oil is sufficient and the shape is still decent. If there is an indication that the oil must be changed, immediately change the oil along with the filter.

2. Radiator

The car may experience a heavy work cycle, as well as on the radiator, especially in older cars. Make sure the engine temperature is always constant and does not overheat. If necessary, flush the radiator.

3. Brake

Brakes are certainly also widely used on long trips, especially if you have to pass hilly and valley roads. After the long trip, check the condition of the brake pads, brake discs, to the brake fluid.

4. Car Wash

One of the simplest but often forgotten things is washing the car. Long trips will accumulate dirt on the car. The interior was not spared, because the food consumed during the trip was prone to falling to the floor and making the cabin dirty. 

5. Tyres

Finally, check the Accelera tyres you are using. Mainly check air pressure and conditions. Long journeys can cause tyres to heat up and can accelerate their wear rate. Make sure the tyre is still far from the Tread Wear Indicator (TWI) available on the Accelera tyre model. Then, make sure the pressure is sufficient to use.

1. Oli

Pertama-tama, ceklah kondisi oli mesin, utamanya karena mesin telah bekerja keras selama perjalanan. Pastikan jumlah oli tidak kurang dan kondisinya masih layak. Bila sudah ada indikasi oli harus diganti, maka segera lakukan penggantian oli beserta dengan filternya.

2. Radiator

Mobil mungkin mengalami siklus kerja yang berat, begitupun pada radiator, terutama pada mobil yang sudah berumur. Pastikan suhu mesin selalu konstan dan tidak overheat. Jika perlu, lakukan kuras radiator.

3. Rem

Rem pastinya juga banyak digunakan pada perjalanan jauh, utamanya jika harus melewati jalanan berbukit dan berlembah. Selesai perjalanan jauh, cek kondisi kampas rem, piringan rem, sampai ke minyak rem.

4. Cuci Mobil

Salah satu hal paling sederhana namun sering terlupa adalah mencuci mobil. Perjalanan jauh akan menumpuk kotoran pada mobil. Interior pun tidak luput, karena makanan yang dikonsumsi selama perjalanan rentan jatuh ke lantai dan membuat kabin kotor. 

5. Ban

Terakhir, ceklah ban Accelera yang kamu gunakan. Utamanya cek tekanan angin dan kondisinya. Perjalanan yang panjang bisa mengakibatkan ban panas dan bisa saja mempercepat tingkat ausnya. Pastikan ban masih jauh dari Tread Wear Indicator (TWI) yang tersedia pada model ban Accelera. Lalu, pastikan tekanannya cukup untuk digunakan.
